Cherish Community Hospital Batsari, Katsina State core focus was ensuring significant community awareness on healthcare opportunities and link the community with access programs for the treatment of various ailments including Malaria, Malnutrition, Mother-to-child HIV transmission, Vesico Vagina Fitsula (VVF), and Tuberculosis. The hospital provide free HIV/AIDS screening, prevention, and treatment. The maiden project of Cherish Hospital was the Orphans & Vulnerable Families Project(OVF) in the 4 select wards of the 11 wards in Batsari Local Government. The program specifically focuses on distress homes and orphans identified through a need survey conducted by the foundation (Local Capacity Development Survey 2010). Affected families through this program were assisted with a monetary support ranging from N5, 000 to N10, 000 per family with advocacy and capacity building to start small businesses to support themselves. We are scaling up through our Micro-Finance Bank to cover the entire State and beyond.
So far nearly 500 families have been covered. The project is undertaken in phases, each phase covers 500 families. Through the Orphans & Vulnerable Families Project(OVF) some Islamic faith based Organizations have been empowered by the provision of fully stocked shops, each around the central mosques of the major religious groups in the Local Government Area (Batsari). This being a pilot program for scalability.

Cherish Hospital will provide treatment and or management of
disease conditions or physical dysfunction or injury by the use
of physical / chemical modalities and therapeutic exercises intended
to restore or facilitate normal or as near normal function or
development.

and function are threatened by aging, injury, disease or environmental

The department will offer expert clinical and community based services and provide training both at undergraduate and postgraduate level and conduct research. The department will run clinics daily in the out-patient-department of the teaching hospital. The hospital will also run immunization and child welfare clinics, family planning clinics, well woman clinics, endemic disease clinics, and nutrition clinics.

We have plans to expand our outreach Health Services to ensure that many more communities within our areas of coverage have at least monthly or quarterly access to health care.
